Hi Guys,This has to be the MOST annoying error that I have encountered! I just cant get java8 u40 installed on my Windows 2008 R2 server.The reason I need that is to install Blackberry Server 12.2.1 and this java update is one of the pre reqs and no matter what I do i am unable to get that on.

Just hoping someone here has successfully installed that on a windows server!I am able to install Java 7 but cant get Java 8 u40 installed!!!Oh yeah I did try the offline installer as well which is the most common suggestion! So here's hoping someone bails me out and I can get BES installed.-A.

Have you already followed Oracles steps to resolve this error?.Do you have endpoint or antivirus protection that might be deleting some of the installation files? If yes, have you tried disabling it during the install?And make sure jp2launcher.exe is not running when trying to install:.Have you tried extracting the.msi from the temp folder and using that with PDQ Deploy?Have you tried both the x86 and x64 versions of Java?Maybe this also applies if you have the SDK on there:.Also, the newest (currently most secure and least vulnerable) version is Java JRE 8u65 / 8u66:.If BES is compatible with this, always use the most recent version of Java, as older versions are riddled with vulnerabilities and security holes.
