At our company we just received our first two windows 8.1 devices (Surface Pros).We have our ASA 5505 that we use for our remote access VPN for our sales teamrunning version 8.2. We installed Cisco Anyconnect 3.1(which looks completelydifferent from our other version of 2.5) to the two devices and tried toconnect.

When we start the connection it gets to the posture assessment andfails. Is there something new we have to configure on the ASA? One thing I did notice is that there are no syslog messages in the ASDMfor the ASA that show my new Surface devices trying to connect at all.

Which version of ASDM are you running? I'm running 6.1(5)51, which is suppose to work with Java 6 U 10Regardless of what Java version I run, I can't get ASDM to load. It is an issue with not only the update version but 32bit vs 64bit. It appears the ASDM does not work with 64bit java, so you must download and install a 32bit version.

As well you will have to download Version 6 update 7 (nothing later). Some have reported that update 10 works, but most have had success with version 7.I currently have ASDM installed and working, I have the 32bit and 64bit version of 6 update 7 installed. You must uninstall any newer versions first, then download and install the 32bit version.I uninstalled mine, then installed the 64bit version (6 Update 7) and it still didn't work, I then downloaded and installed 32bit version (6 Update 7) without uninstalling the 64bit version and everything appears to work fine.Here are some links:Hope that helps,James.
